Paul Douglas Van Der Walde, Founding Partner

For over 25 years, Paul Van Der Walde has resided in the Santa Clara County, a move which began when he decided to study law at Santa Clara University in 1990. After receiving his Doctorate in Jurisprudence in 1993, Paul tried his hand at being a defense attorney while working at a local insurance defense firm. It was at this point that he saw first hand the injustices that occur to innocent plaintiffs by the insurance company, at which point he decided to become a plaintiff's lawyer. Paul then joined a Bay Area civil litigation law firm where he specialized in personal injury law. In 1995 Paul became a partner of Cornell & Van Der Walde Law, and a few years later in 1997, Paul founded Van Der Walde & Associates.

Paul has been listed with distinction in Who’s Who in American Law (2000), and was named Personal Injury Attorney of the Year by the Consumer Business Review (1999).

In his legal career, Paul has represented clients involved in many different types of personal injury cases throughout courtrooms in Santa Clara County, becoming a familiar face to judges, attorneys and legal professionals. Rather than representing clients in multi million dollar class action lawsuits, Paul prefers to represent cases involving people who have been seriously injured in accidents.
